Tips on Using the UW Neuroanatomy Resources

Navigation

  • Clicking on a full-size image returns you back to the referencing page. (This saves the user from having to pressing the "Back" key repeatedly.)

Audio Files

  • Audio files are stored in combinations of three formats (listed below). Most browsers are able to play .wav and .au files, but (depending on your Internet connection speed) they may take a considerable time to download. If you are using a modem or experiencing delays in receiving the .wav or .au files, we recommend using the RealAudio player and the .ra files. RealAudio Player Download Page
  • File Formats contained in the Textbook:
    • .wav (IBM-PC native wave files) - largest files/highest quality
    • .au (Sun .au format) - smaller files/reduced quality
    • .ra (Real Audio format) - streamed audio data (Best for Modems).
